Operation:

Instead of the terms "designer" or "professional adviser" commonly used in Hungarian practice, AHCEA prefers to use in its publications the term "Consulting Engineer (Architect)", the latter being applicable to a much broader interpretation of engineering practice.

The Consulting Engineer's scope of services may cover preliminary investigations, engineering design, contract supervision, project commissioning and occasionally project management. In the services provided by the Consultant for the Client, the Consulting Engineer bears full responsibility, clearly formulated in his contract, which is, at the same time, the guarantee of freedom of his independent decision.
