From the Resolutions:

1. Definition of a Consulting Engineer:
A Consulting Engineer performs professional services for which he (she) is qualified and in the sole interest of the Client.

2. Membership criteria
The membership criteria are set forth in paragraph 4.4 of the Association's Statues, which prescribes that a membership application has to be accompanied by a properly signed recommendation by two registered members. Firms and individuals eligible for Association membership are those meeting the criteria listed in the statues and Bylaws and performing engineering (architectural) services, defined in paragraph 1 of the Resolutions.

3. Admission
Applications for Registration meeting the criteria defined in paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Resolutions are referred to the Board's for consideration. The firm is notified in writing on election to member or candidate status. Admission to membership authorises the firm to indicate FIDIC and EFCA membership and to bear the corresponding logos on its documents.
