AHCEA Conception Issues:
In accordance with FIDIC/EFCA principles, the aim of the Association is to promote the membership of consulting firms which comply in every respect with the criteria set forth in the Association Bylaws and in its Resolutions and which offer high level engineering services and adhere to the ethical standards of the profession in business activities.
The Association- in contrast with the professional Chambers- intends, rather than representing interests, to promote the progress of the profession, to the benefit of the firms led by Consulting Engineers. It intends to ensure compliance with the criteria set forth in the Association Bylaws in harmony with the practice of FIDIC member organisations, to the benefit of the Client and in the interests of society.
Leading consulting engineers of the Association's member firms should obligatorily be, members of the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers or Camber of Architects, which provides concultancy and engineering licences for them.
The member firms of the Association agree to continue operating under a liability insurance coverage, bear the costs thereof and include these in their fees, complying with international practice. The Association will promote the insurance system adopted by its members, whenever in contact with Municipalities or Clients.
The Association will advocate the application of the scale of architectural fees agreed upon with the professional Chambers for the remuneration of engineering (architectural) consulting services rendered in Hungary. It will initiate relevant fees for Hungarian Consultants rendering services on internationally funded projects, as well.
